Thanks MarieM.

No Dave I haven't got a macro lens. For the bug photos in my first post I used some cheap 20 extension tubes with my Olympus EM10 and a 40-150mm lens (80-300mm in 35mm terms). The photos in the following posts were shot with compacr cameras.

Little hedge sparrow ,my first visitor to my home made bird feeder

made of half inch ply, with beech perches ,perspex fronts to view seed, fine mesh on the bottom so any water that gets in drains away, piece of waste pipe cut down the centre for the ridge, a plastic bottle neck glued in roof to fill it with seed, and three coats of green gloss paint.
