Beautiful pics Cadfael - I've only been there once, about 20 years ago. Look at those fells carpeted in green - stunning even without the sunshine.

I will definitely have to go back now, after seeing those pics.

Nice shots Cad.

Love that foreground light in No1. Also the way the row of boats and the bigger boat make a nice Z-Shaped lead in to the image

Dennis, so good to know you're out and about. We have put our caravan on a site now, near Pendle Hill, Downham, all those lovely places. Will be used a lot more now. Hope you and Sue are well and hope you will allow me to visist again. I really enjoyed my day with you both. Your old mate, Irene. x.

I am back at work tonight Irene!

I will be setting out at about 8pm... first time at work for 5 months, 4 months since the operation. I cannot wait for normality to return, and getting back to work is a big part of it.

I wish everyone thought like that, Dennis, about going back to work. You are one of "The Old School", as are Peter and myself. Good Luck. and love to Sue and your lovely lads. Hope to visit you later in the year. Irene. x.

Excellent photos, cadfael. Really, really stuuning.

I live but a few miles from here and have never taken photos as good as these, and me, a supposedly photographer too. I often go shopping in Keswick, to Booths where there is great food, if a little expensive.

I will have to take my camera now and try my luck. They say that when a person lives in a place they take it for granted.

Thanks for the great pics and now, the push to take some maybe as good....
