A very good Monday to all.
A bright sunny, but cool day here in Blighty, 11C this morning.
A busy morning here at RMJ Towers.
We donated our old pine bed to The British Heart Foundation, so they came and picked it up this morning.
We have the new Oak Furniture Land bed and tall boy now, but they make you dispose of all the cardboard and polystyrene which is a right pain, anyroad, I took it to the tip at Little Hulton, so we're tidy now.

Well done to Marie for starting us off.

Are you having a busy day Mo?
Hope all is well with Vince.

Yes Marie,it is a problem,I think most people who've retired are the same..
the trouble is getting back to sleep when the brain doesn't want to slow
down..I lay awake this morning still coughing and wondering about the
sedation on Friday when I'm supposed to have for Colonoscopy, anyway I've just rung RAEI and they were very good and efficient and agreed that
I should leave it for a week or so and my new appointment is in a couple of
weeks.

A cloudy nondescript day here in Blighty, 12C forecast.
Not looking forward to the icy blast which is on the cards this weekend.
This arvo a trip to ‘Next’ to buy some bedding for the new bed.
I have to say our bedroom with all the new oak furniture is looking rather posh.

Sorry you’re not well Mo, hope you’re on the mend soon.
Thankfully like you. I don’t get many colds, but they are not very nice.

We all seem to be in the same boat as regards sleep, I had another not too good night last night.

A big Hello to all.
Another cloudy bright and cool day here in Blighty, 11C going to class this morning.
We have a new instructor for class, a young girl full of energy and enthusiasm, and boy does she work us hard.
This arvo a trip to Wigan for a mooch, always a pleasant afternoon.

Hope your cold is improving Mo, it's horrible being unwell isn't it?
Well done to Marie for starting us off.

Lizzie, I forgot to mention that while you were away we were having a walk up the L & L canal from Rose Bridge and a couple in their fifties I would say, stopped us to ask about the canal.
It turns out the bloke was originally from Ashton but had emigrated to Oz in 1985, his wife was Australian and they were over here because his Mum had died and they were having few weeks holiday after the funeral.
The lady in particular was amazed at the canals construction, especially as there are 21 locks from Wigan Pier up to Top Lock.
They had been to Wigan Pier a few days before.
He had a funny mixed accent, about 80% Australian with just the odd bit of Wigan with it, LOL, I suspect you are pure Oz aren't you?
Anyroad we had a good chat.

A big Hello to all.
A cloudy coolish day here in Blighty, 11C,
The usual last minute decision to go to the Trafford Centre.
Just got back, we didn’t stay too long, it was full of kids.
It seems the half term is different to each area of Greater Manchester.
We got our Kit a ‘Happy New Home’ card, they are moving house this coming Monday.
Her new husband Chris has is own end terrace house in Connah’s Quay which they have been doing up.
They are currently renting, so when they move they will be saving themselves a whopping £520 a month.

A very big Hello to all.

A bright sunny cloudy day here in Blighty, 12C forecast.

A trip to the phlebotomist at our doctors this morning, it’s part of my ‘healthy heart review’, something they do every year to check on my cholesterol and sugar levels and also liver and kidney functions.

My liver function is always OK despite the amount I sup!!!!!!! LOL

This arvo, a trip to B & Q in Bowton for some storage boxes, not my favourite place to go.

Hope you and Cliff are on the mend Mo.

Well done to Marie for starting us off.

A moderate word count today, so hope I’ve left more for Our Mo.

Lizzie, good that you survived the storm, it must have freshened everywhere up.
It’s Friday again.where does the week go?

Big thanks for our Friday wordage.

Well done Marie for starting us off.

Sorry to hear you and Cliff are still not well Mo, it sounds like you’ve had a serous bit of a virus, I hope the medication helps soon.

It seems my blood test is a bit of a mixed bag.
My cholesterol and sugar are normal as is my kidney and liver (LOL) function, but there is a problem with my blood count.
The doctor is going to ring me on Friday morning to discuss it.
The practice nurse said not to worry, if it was serious they would have contacted me straight away, it still doesn’t stop you worrying thought does it?
I have lost quite a bit of weight recently and am down to 9 stone 9lbs in old money (61Kg), the nurse said I was underweight and if I caught a virus my body couldn’t fight it.
I seem to have lost my appetite and am skipping lunch and also not enjoying my evening meal as I usually do.
Susan thinks I may be anaemic.

We are doing well our Maureen....we have the plumber in today ...changing our old taps in the kitchen for a mixer tap ...just sick of leaking taps ...hopefully this will fix it for good ...Keith had fun getting all the tiles off and bashing up the concrete to expose all the old pipes ...might do some arty work on the splash back after it is all fixed up ...we saved some of the tiles ...😊

I found the words hard to come by today, and all were ‘short’ones.

Lizzie, good luck with the plumbing, I never like having workmen in, terribly disruptive.
Big thanks for our Wednesday wordage.

I didn't check your post before I posted Mo, so apologies.

I managed a cup-a-soup at lunchtime, not very nutritious, but a least it filled my tum a bit.

A big hello to everybody.
Another bright sunny cloudy mildish day here in Blighty, 12C going to class this morning.
Just back from Bowton and a busy day travelling.

Well done to Mo with the words, you got a ponful!!!!!!! LOL
Sounds like a good day out was had.
What a great way to celebrate your anniversary with a nice meal.
I took your advice Mo and bought myself 4 cans of draught Guinness from Sainsies on Tuesday.
I had one with my tea last night, I found it relaxed me and helped me enjoy my food, so apart from the iron, I also got some much needed calories as well.
I managed a couple of oatcakes at lunchtime.
We’re having a lazy ready meal for tea, braised steak and mash with cabbage.

I suspect Marie is on a jolliday.

merriness-menses-semen LOL

Lizzie, glad you got you tap sorted, you’ll soon be posh when it’s finished.
Big thanks for our Thursday wordage.

Good news about your blood test Marie

I get the results of mt retest next week.

Ray,I'm so glad that it made you relax, and let you enjoy your food.
When I was a youngster my little Irish Grandma gave me a big cream jug
with Irish lace cover,I'd go just under Wallgate bridge to the pub, where it
would be filled, back home at my Grandmas she would give me a cup of
half milk and half Guinness,I had that two or three times a week.

Then when I had my Daughter in Billinge.,they used to bring each new
Mum a small bottle of Guinness...well...the Mums at either side of me did
not like it..so guess what I had threes bottles a day. for fourteen days.I still
love the stuff..keep on enjoying it Ray,it'll do you nothing but good.

Posted by: raymyjamie (5302) Report abuse
Cheers Mo LOL

I love the idea of you suppin' 3 bottles a day.

I had another can with my tea tonight, most enjoyable.

I could get used to it.

A very good day to all.
A cloudy day here in Blighty, 12C forecast.
A busy morning cleaning, glad it's done.
This arvo another trip to Wigan.
We went to the Vodaphone shop on Wednesday to put some money on my mobile phone.
we paid by card, but the money has not gone on, really annoyed that we have to traipse into Wigan and pay for parking again.

Well done to Marie for starting us off,
Hope you and Cliff are improving Mo.
I managed a cup-a-soup for lunch.

Ray I'm with vodophone and I top mine up at the cash machine.

Posted by: raymyjamie (5302) Report abuse
Mo and Marie, I didn't explain myself very well.

Yes, I top my phone up at the supermarket usually.

I hadn't used my phone for several months, and what happens is they disconnect your sim card, so I had to go the the Vodaphone shop in the Grand Arcade to get a new sim card and a 'top up'.
They have also taken all the money credit off the phone as well, I am not too pleased with them, robbing b*ggers!!!!!! LOL

Good morning dear friends...💜...well done with your words 😊👌

Marie and Ray, you got the 9 letter...👌

It is annoying when things like that happen Ray ...we are with Virgin Mobile which has for years have been run by Optus ...now finally they have completely taken over all Virgin customers...so now if there is a problem we go into an Optus shop ...but we still get Virgin top up vouchers at the supermarket...😊

Ok last for the week.....😊
