Football Today

I.have been watching football for over 70.yrs(ok.I'm an old bloke) I was reading Alan Shearer,who said the game has gone,he said its pass back or side or anywhere, he said they dont play now to win, they play NOT TO LOSE,I have been saying that for ten years,I would like to sit next to ANY manager and I will tell whether the ball is going forward or back or nowhere so can most of you. Agreed.

Roy for the majority that may be the case,but since gaurdiola has been at city there has been a refreshing change,fantastic football played from out of defence to the forwards ball firmly to foot and not a hint of long ball tactics,the recent city games against napoli were a joy to watch buth teams playing from the back.

Bloody hell, after ten years of talking tripe he's suddenly come over all Jimmy Hill, wonder why that is?

Spot on r.fisher and the fact that physical contact seems to be penalised, and if there is any contact they roll all over the pitch skrykin, then jump up and run off......The game is a disgrace for many reasons.....even the football diehards must be frustrated after seeing the game deteriorate over the years....

it would be high on my wanted list that I could enjoy soccer with the masses,but apart from a brief period with man c. in the sixties just don't get it.excellent stidiums tv and newspapers full of coverage I wish all you supporters well whichever team you follow. at73 I don't think I will change.merry christmas
