Gazza...

Started by: jarvo (30250)

Please join me in wishing Paul Gascoigne all the best after he was rushed to hospital yesterday.

This fella has had his problems, but best wishes for a speedy recovery and hopefully a sober and healthy new year.

hear hear Jarvo - yes he has gone 'off the rails' but really rated him in a shirt - for me one of the few class players in recent times to pull on the shirt of England

This guy has had so much help and support but can't seem to help himself. It's very sad and I feel for his family. Maybe this time he'll manage to fight his demons

You are a hypocrite jarvis.

You slated overweight people on mobility scooters saying it was a lifestyle choice! What's different about him? Are you saying he isn't CHOOSING to do it?

There's always been more deserving cases. I don't agree with giving transplants to drug addicts either.

But your only reason for having a gripe in here is because its a footballer, and even then you had to drag a United player in on it. Bet you wouldn't have said boo to a goose had it been about Barry Sheene, Valentino Rossi, et al.

has only himself to blame, many a young man lucky enough to have his talent would be in dreamland, instead of a nightmare.he needs to dig himself out ,or end up like George best.

LG, I don't believe he should get a liver should one become available, unless there is no match for any other person on the list.

The number of organs available for transplant against the number of people on the waiting list, is scary. Many people will die without a suitable organ becoming available. He shouldn't have any sort of priority.

Also, although I don't really follow any sport, even I know he once a great player, but he was also a self-confessed wife beater. Not a particularly nice person. IMO.

Its a shame he's in the mess he is, no one wants to see any other person in that state. As Baker Boy says, he needs to dig himself out, nobody can do it for him.

If he cannot break his addiction, he will sadly finish up like George Best, dead before his time and remembered more for being a p... artist, than a talented sportsman.
