Beating the Aussies in the semi final was embarrassingly easy. Without sandpaper in their pockets they weren't up to much. And all of that phoney sportsmanship they tried to exude was utterly cringeworthy.

The real tough diamonds from down under proved to be the Kiwis and what a great match it proved to be.

spot on builderboy, the kiwis are on a different planet sportsmanwise to that other shower. every credit to them for the way they played and took the defeat on the chin, no moaning and whingeing, good on you kiwis for playing cricket how it should be played.

Really, it did not matter that the umpires got the rules wrong ! The KIWI's should have won. But it will stop the Pommy whingers you have won 1 world cup.

Nowadays the Australian Immigration application form asks about woodworking skills. Apparently being able to use sandpaper proficiently gains you automatic entry, and a place in their cricket squad.

It isn't too often we get the opportunity to stick the boot in with the Aussies, so we must make hay whilst the sun shines!

Good answer my Aussie friend. A little bit of banter always makes the postings more interesting.

I hope we will be in a position to gloat a little bit more once the Ashes get underway.
