i,m pretty sure about john lowe as it was the 1st time they played off the new metric mark of 9'7 1/4 & at jollies in stoke for the 1st time , he played last yrs champ leighton rees .

Everybody in Wigan was playing off 7'6ins and happy till they spoilt things and added another 3.25ins on. I could not get into it so packed in playing after years of loving the game, it might only seem a small addition but it made a big difference, it was also the end of Evan's and reece from Wales who were brilliant off the 7'6ins mark.

9' 7&25 was the mark set down from the bull to the floor stevejmac .i had to go back that 3 + " as i was playing in the lancs super league & it was difficult at 1st.
