Given that no.1 fan jay was reading threads and posting comments on here whilst at the game (allegedly), during the first half last night, it must be pretty dire!!!

Good supporters are there for their team through thick and thin. I have great respect for the Latics fans on here who comment during bad times as well as good. What I find a little distasteful is the absence of someone who couldn't wait to trumpet their success to the world when they 'truly were the people', but who now appears to have vanished from any Latics thread, only to resurface on rugby threads! Genuine Latics fans must feel dismayed, or even betrayed.

Piso's not far wrong, actually, Jay. To be honest, I have always found your posts "entertaining". I know you post anti-rugby stuff just to get a reaction, and sometimes they damn well infuriate me - and many others on here. But I do admit your posts are never boring!

Thanks for your generous words. I'm just always suspicious of posters who have long memberships but few posts. If piso/granada vouch for you, i've no reason to doubt what you say.

On Latics, not much to say. Not very entertaining at the moment. The phenomenal change over of players makes it hard for people to take a shine to them.(i wouldn't recognise some of them if i fell over their trolley in asda). In the premiership and lower divisions (3 and 4) things seemed to be more settled. In the championship loan players and in/out signings appear from everywhere.

Isn't RL though just two fat kids running straight at each other as fast and hard as they can?

I sometimes go out with a Latics mate from St Helens and i did nearly get attacked late one night for putting forward that opinion in a town centre pub.

It was the same night i was toasting Margaret Thatcher's passing as the 'greatest prime minster we've ever had' ..i was lucky to escape from the town alive. Sometimes i just can't help myself..

Thanks for the responses, Jay. As for the "Boycottesque" posting over the years, I much prefer reading the posts, only commenting really on rugby [the fat lads' game!] and anything nostalgic. Piso and Granada are very old mates of mine, along with UTT!
