Sad news
I'm sure that all(staff and pupils)who were at Hindley and Abram Grammar School in the 1970s or at Upholland Grammar School in the 1960s will be saddened to hear that Mr (Ron)Eastham passed away last night at the age of 79. Over the past few years Ron had problems with his kidneys and his spleen as well as suffering from emphysema. He was a man who was well liked by both his colleagues and his students and will be sadly missed by all.

my thoughts are with all concerned.
I never went to that school but there is always one teacher that makes an impression, so im sure a lot will be saddend by this news xx

I left in the 5th form in 1969 and don't recall Mr. Eastham, but am sorry to hear the sad news, and thankyou for posting it Roy.
