Hi all, donít know if thereís any Turnkey/Squires (as it was then) regulars around from the 80s but if so Iím sure youíll remember Alistair the owner. Anyway I was at his funeral in Poulton today, seems a lifetime ago since he was at the helm and his son and brother summed him up perfectly and exactly how I remember him when they spoke at the crematorium. One of lifeís characters for sure! Apparently when he was told he had 3 months to live he replied ďAh well, thatís better than 2 I supposeĒ. RIP Alistair.

Sad to hear. Happy hour Friday tea time in the Turnkey. Great memories.
