Horrocks

Peter Unsworth here. Just been visiting with my sister Susan and mum Audrey and we where talking about folk we knew in Standish and Wigan. In the 60's we lived in Ceder avenue in Standish, then in '67 moved to the big city, Wigan, Swinley lane, next door to Atkinsons and across from the brocket. In Standish we lived next door to Shirley and graham horrocks and for years after we moved to Wigan we still spend our holidays with them roaming over the fields behind Ashfield house across towards Chorley Road and beyond. They eventually moved to Walter Scott avenue and I lost contact with them when I went off to Nottingham. I think Shirley went to the deanery, not sure about graham. If anyone knows what became of them we would love to know. Ta much.

I also lived in Swinley lane and worked as receptionist at the Brocket whenMr Pearl was Manager and Mrs Hesketh also worked with me she wpuld live across the road from you.
