I've just watched Michael Flately in Lord of the Dance and it doesn't half stir your blood with the Irish Dancing when you are of Irish descent which half of Wigan are.

MariaM was that the live performance currently on tour?
I saw it earlier this week at our local theatre. Absolutely brilliant, I loved it - apparently showing to full houses throughout

beryl I think it was one I had recorded. But it still stirs your blood if you are descended from the Irish

I think the show I saw was Michael Flatley as choreograhey/producer. First time I have seen a live performance and it certsinly has the wow factor. If you get the chance to see it live then do so as it exceeds anything you can see on celluloid or whatever material they use these days.

No. I wouldn't call it 'stirring'. Stirring goes round and round. He jumps up and down. It's more like, 'pumping'!
Don't you think?

I remember our Irish dancing lessons with Miss Kelly, can't remember the name of the street, was it Caroline Street where St Josephs church/school was? She used to belt out the tunes on her fiddle and scare the hell out of you. We won many medals and cups for our efforts

Saw Lord of the Dance last night here in Sydney, Australia. It is the 20th Anniversary of the original with Michael Flatley.

Isaw the first one 20 years ago which was terrific and last night was amazing. The young dancers are so fit and agile. Great night out x
