Just a long shot but do you live in Abram and if so do you remember a woman called Linda Platt? She was married to a chap called malcolm and they had four kids, think they moved around quite alot in A bram. I remember helping them with food cos she borrowed money from a loan shark. Too detailed to go into just wondering what happened to them.

Hiya mama yes I live in abram, but I've only been here just over 2 years. The best person to ask is Mick , him and his wife are true abram locals. They know an awful lot about the area and the people who live here.Mick posted a message on the maypole colliery thread, theres a mile long number after his name lol which I can't remember so you can leave a message to the right mick.

Empress
How did you get in Abram, they use to tell us, anyone from the line after Bryn Gates school had no chance, when we moved from Bamfurlong they shoved us up Park lane in the cul de sac Fisher Ave, we were that close to the Maypole we could feel the blast down the mine, good old Abram, me mams lived in Abram 65 of her 89yrs and she's still a Bryner

Mark, I will always be a bryner at heart. But I have to admit I love living here, it still has a village feel about it, I think I'll be in Abram for many years yet.

Mick / Mark,

Poor Broady here. Sorry I didn't reply earlier but have just been for my weekly drive in the Rockies. I was thinking about yo-yoying across in March but have opted instead to go to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. Hope I haven't made the wrong choice !!!!

Mick,

Can't comment on the ale in the Dover as it is somewhere I never thought of going when I lived in Abram. I will take Empress's view that the company is better.
