ASHCROFT
I am trying to trace the families of the children of John and Alice Ashcroft(nee Chisnall).
Margaret Ashcroft(born 1868),William(my great grandad born 1871)Alice Elizabeth Ashcroft(born 1873), John Ashcroft,1875 and Abraham Ashcroft,1877.
They came from the Upholland area. William moved to Salford with his family to work at Agecroft Pit.

I worked on the principle that they all married in their 20s,so looked for marriages in that 10yr time span.........if any of these you don't recognise,please say,and I'll look further.
This is a possible burial for the father,John....he would have been buried one month before youngest child,Abraham,was born.........

I dpnt know if any interest but there was a Joe Ashcroft who went to St Johns CHirch and lived in Hornby st off mesnes roaD
