I have family from around that time and they are buried in Aspull, Blackrod or Ince.

St Katherines Church in Blackrod had a cemetery/churchyard in the past, and the current Blackrod cemetery opened in early 1887 I think.

Let us know who else you are looking for. By the way, after James was widowed he shows up as a lodger (along with his son Reuben, in the Derbyshire household (1871 census). There are kids there as well with the name of France which may mean that the wife has remarried a derbyshire and is somehow related to James.

There would not have been plot numbers on the register, otherwise they would have been transcribed, so if you want the exact location you will need to check elsewhere (can't help you on this as I don't know what to do myself)
