Hi barry,

I have access to both the 1851 and 1841 Census. The 1851 is as follows
James King, age 26, born Buckinghamshire, occupation Miner,
head of houshold
Ann King, age 25, Wife.born Sedgley Staffordshire, occupation Domestic.
Hannah King, age 5, Daughter, born Sedgley Staff
Elizabeth, age 2, Daughter, born Sedgley Staff.
Martha, age 2 months, Daughter, born Sedgley Staff.
Living atGornall Wood, Sedgley, Borough of Wolverhampton, Village of Lower Gornall.

The 1841 Census is more difficult as there are a number of James King's in both Buckinghamshire and Sedgley, and they are by no means as detailed as later Census's. Even ages were rounded down to the nearest five years. The 1861 Census gives his Birthplace as "Birchley, Buckinghamshire". This place does not exist, but when I was looking for it, I stumbled on A Geneology forum, where a GGG Grandaughter of James and Ann was having the same problem:- in 2008! She had found the Marriage, in 1845, at Kingswinford Parish Church. Both were recorded as Infant's ie under 21. Ann's Father was John Marsh, Deceased. and Witness's were William and Elizabeth Marsh, Who she believes to be Ann's Brother and Sister in law.
Hope this helps, if you want me to copy out the 1841 Census's that are the nearest, I will, but without more information about his Birthplace, it's "perm any Eight from Ten" I'm afraid.
