The Trevi fountain is in a small square,in a back street You could very easily miss it

Trevi fountain beautifuleven more so at night when it is all lit up the Vatican is out of this world. Rome is a fantastic place the sightseeing is unbelieveable

Yes, Rome is great; the people are very relaxed - even the taxi drivers are good
We enjoyed it immensely
Stayed at the Savoy Hotel; central location for walking to most of the main attractions

Oh I love Rome! So beautiful and so much history. Cordyline, you're so lucky being there this week when the new Pope was chosen. I bet it was wonderful.
How did you find the Colisseum, did you find it a bit spooky?

Yes SW the Coliseum is a fascinating venue
Much larger than we expected
If anyone decides to go, be sure to take proof of identity; passport is best, to get free entry - you need to be over 60

We went back to Rome for a few days last week; stayed at a good reasonably priced hotel should anyone be planning a trip, quite central
