The John Martin sound was a fantastic band to listen to at the Riverside. I once had a birthday party there and John got me up on the stage(as well as other birthday girls) We all got a bottle of wine, after he persuaded us to make fools of ourselves!! I remember dancing to the Real Thing ( Can't get by without you) my fiance had requested for me. AWE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HIYA ALL !! MY MATE AND I USED TO 'DO THE LANE ' AS THEY CALLED IT AND THEN END UP IN THE RIVERSIDE. WHAT FANTASTIC TIMES WE HAD ! I WAS TALKING TO JOHN MARTIN RECENTLY AND HE WAS TELLING ME THAT HE NEEDS TO HAVE BOTH HIPS REPLACED.HE HAS BEEN THROUGH A LOT OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS BUT HE CAN STILL PULL A GOOD CROWD !!! AS HE ALWAYS DID. WISH WE COULD BRING BACK THE OLD CLUB !!!
