Has anyone got any pics of the pub when it first opened, my bro was saying the other day it was really posh looking with lights outside and stuff when he was little (60's)
so was hoping there were pics on here but cant find any.
would love to see what it used be like.

It's never been the same since Kev Panda smashed it up, in a fit of rage, in 1992.

Remember it being built in the 60's and Bobby Burley asking our gang if they knew who had pinched some tools off the site...Aah some things don't change

I have heard the same rumour Twigginer. Wooden panel fencing has been erected all around it. It's about eight or nine feet high and you can't see into it. It seems strange to erect a fence if the place is being demolished though.

The planning app hasnt been approved yet, so maybe the fence is there to keep the area's little darlings from getting hurt

seeing as its on the way to 3 schools very close, and they are already doing something there,as in ripping its insides out...then yes they do need to keep it safe for when me and my kids walk past.

That's him. Last time I saw him, he'd was recovering from a fight with a football team (including reserves) in the Bird i'th'Hand.
They managed to overpower him. Surprisingly!

Tonker, John died of a Heart attack. His funeral will take place on Tuesday. I have just had to send my apologies as I won't be able to attend. A close family Member died Yesterday in Afghanistan during a firefight, So I will be travelling to Swindon where he will be repatriated.
