When I worked at the lancashire Evening Post in

Powell Street in the late 50s I used to chat with a young lady who passed most day pushing a pram with a baby in, she had red hair ( the lady) I think she lived in one of the streets in the Berket Bank area, one off Birkett or Caroline Street, no longer there.
She always seemed to have a lot of problems, and I often wonder how she made out, I lost touch with her when I went to work at the Daily Express in Manchester, I wonder if anyone remembers her, I never knew her name.

Yes thanks ecmdj I am keeping well, Roy was a good bloke, sorry to hear he was as you said he was the last time you saw him.

Owe Dave, you are right when you say Val Walls (Belshaw) was a lovely girl.

wiganyankeeron, I thought Brian Belshaw had a Brother, maybe I am getting mixed up with his Uncle, didn't he go to Wigan Boys Club?
How are you keeping by the way? Hope you have a good night at rbilly's get-together.
Cheers all of you.

Hi Aussie Roy, good to here from you, yes I had to ask Brian to re register me, as for some reason I was unable to log in from my iPad, also I changed my email address when I visited Wigan last June/ July so that I could access my mail while in the UK, so I had to change my user name

I would love to get-together some time, let me know when you are able to visit Sydney.
Cheers Fred

bentlegs, thanks for your message, I'm sorry to hear about Eileen, I didn't know her name, but we used to enjoy a chat and a laugh when she was on her daily walk past the Evening Post, we had one thing in common, we both had red hair.
It's funny how one thinks about people we meet in our younger days, and wonder how they made out.
Thanks again
Fred
