Burdock is what sticky-bobs come from.
And dandelion makes you pee.
Replied: 28th Mar 2010 at 20:10

As an option to a cold Shandy on a hot summer day try a Guinness & Tizer. Sounds iffy but tastes gorgeous, you have to use bottled Guinness and mix 50/50. Go on treat yourself. Another alternative to a classic is a Snowball but instead of using lemonade mix Advocat with Ginger Ale, not half as sickly as the norm.

i like both, but also remember a wagon coming round selling dandilion and burdock and sasspirella in big stone bottles we thought it would last forever, thats if u were lucky enough to get one, and when we got a big bottle of pop from minnies in york st where i lived i always got rasberryade and we would pour it into the skrew off top to make it last longer, but a lot of bottles had like a skrew ln top, i have a murpy top bottle with bartons of ince on it.

Remember Lucky Bags and Cherry-lips, 2oz in a little three-cornered toffee-bag? And sweet tobacco and toffee cigarettes? They have to call them candy sticks now, in case they encourage children to smoke...I must have eaten enough to sink a battleship and never once had the urge to try the real thing.

When you said your mum used to make her own ginger beer berylh, so did mine. If my memory serves me right didn't you have to start off with a 'root' which someone gave you and then you started the continuous cycle of making it?
