Cultural Appeal

Started by: dostaf (inactive)

I am writing on behalf of the many beleaguered Cockney types who are often ignored on television in this part of the world.

These are a few brave ones who agreed to take part in this plea.

You may have noticed that there is a severe shortage of L's in popular broadcasts such as 'The Bill' (or Biw as it is often described) and also the delightfully light-hearted show 'East Enders'.

In recent years we have received old L's from driving schools and the like, but what with the current economic climate together with global warming, things are getting hard. Measures have been taken to import some spare L's from Wales, but the aid (that's Dai backwards you know), as always, is slow to get through.

If you can help in any way, however small, please give Ray Winstone a bew (bell) on the old dog and bone.

Thank you.

Before anyone says owt, I'm already looking into how to clear-up the thousands of dropped H's in and around Wigan.
