PAIN ON ICE

Started by: geoffcott (181)

I slipped on some ice this morning and went down with a big thud.I got up as quick as I could and looked round to see if anyone saw me.(I was embarrassed). Then I realised it hurt like hell, and at that point I thought to myself when I was little falling on ice was fun and was never hurt. So why the hell does it hurt so much now I'm supposed to be grown up and tuffer than kids????

When you're grown up you have further to fall.

Probably because when your young you dont tend to tense up but as you get older you do due to fear of being hurt.

I didn't venture out yesterday but I have to go to the hospital in a while. I hope I don't fall. You can't take the knocks when you're getting owd.

the pavements around near me are terrible, the council come around with a machine in the summer to kill the weeds, i think they should be out now gritting the pavements , av run out of salt !!! bet casuaulty at the infirmary is busy ! witnessed an accident myself this afternoon whilst i was walking the dog along the canal, a lady fell and did her wrist, luckily a chap passing by had a car on Hall Lane and he was a true gentleman , he took the lady and her friend up to the infirmary , he didn't know them at all but went out of his way to help , god bless him. that was so nice. what i want to know is.... the lady was in awkward place . . has anyone got a number for the rangers in Haigh Hall in case of anyone in trouble ?..
