amanda, I read (only the other day), that most people don't expect their children to ever see a white Christmas. I've tried to google it and drawn a blank. So it couldn't have been a big survey. However, I found the above link.

Our "traditions" have strange origins. eg Santa's red robes are courtesy of coca cola marketing.

we've only had snow once, since living here, tell you the truth, i didn't see it much when we lived down south (England). When i was a kid i loved it in Wigan, it was guaranteed

I was a coal bagger for twenty odd years I hated snow then and I still hate it.
Just try carrying 1cwt coal bags all day in the snow it must be one of the hardest things to do for a living.

snowing here alright!....got 3 inches Sunday night...first on the ground this winter...time to wax the ski's!!!

Always loved snow as a kid...now I get to play in a lotta snow every winter!

i love the snow, plays havoc on mi bones but what the hell.... nothing better than a good downpour of snow...then the silence being broken with the sound of kids laughter usually after peltin me wi a snowball!!!...sharply followed by retalition from me

Absoloutely zero chance in Oz. Probably be about 30C on the day.

Don't like a hot Christmas, but then not too fussed about a freezing cold one either - not when you have to go out to work at least.

No turkey and roast vegies for me this year. Have to settle for some seafood and salads and plenty of vino.
