I've been taking a clarityn and a piriton so if 1 doesn't work the other might and eye drops but I've still been bad. I've had to put wet, cold compresses on my eyes earlier and my eyes are still sore.

My eyes are the worst and I feel a bit bunged up and sneezy but I wear contacts so if I rub my eyes they scrape along the surface and I have to take them out leaving my eyes stinging.

I peeled my eyes open again this morning and went to check them out in the mirror. I could have cried. Nearly all my eyelashes have gone under my right eye. My face is absolutely stinging because of hayfever. Think I need to go to doctors and ask for something stonger. I can't sleep or work properly. Can't wait for a bit of rain (sorry).

Someone I know, who suffers from hay fever, says 'nothing works, but these don't work for less money than some others don't work for'. (if you know what she means).

.... Galpharm one-a-day tablets work fine. 68 pence (box of 7) from Qualitysave.

PS ... she says, don't take them before driving a tractor, 'cos they make you drowsy!

Tonker, whats the local honey theory?

Replied: 18th Jun 2008 at 19:58

As Wiganer516 says, you rub local honey into your eyes and up your nose. The attention you get from attracted wasps and bees takes your mind off the hay fever. Probably.

For the other local honey theory, besides Tonker's, have a look at www.deliciosa.co.uk - they stock honey made by Eric Bradbury from Standish.
Hope it helps.

Personally it doesn`t make my eyes water due to the fact dr teash(have we met before??)doesnt suffer from it, but i`d recommend takin a small dose of 10 mils of 'i cant believe its not butter' on toast and cry me a river. If its not cleared up in the mornin then yer scuppered

Not that I am a sufferer myself, you understand.(it was just out of curiosity, I know that's what they all say)

But you didn't state if your prescription was to be taken orally, mentally or seriously.

You're better off getting it in a farmer's field, but I suppose owt's possible.

Maybe the flowers on the wards, rather than casualty, are a better idea.

Hope this helps, good luck.
