BREXIT

Started by: TerryW (inactive)

Was not the reason Labour took a beating no matter what they say. It's time for some to swallow the bitter pill that it was all down to Corbyn being very unpopular and a danger to this country, he is no friend of the working class and never has been his tongue should shrivel up every time he uses the word socialist, he was far from that. I feel for those who have lost their seats because of this dreadful man and his crazy policies also his blatant disregard for those who voted to leave the EU. Time for labour and true 'socialists' (if there are any) to consolidate and get shut of the problems within the party, antisemitism etc and remove those with such tendencies, but most of all remove Corbyn and those nearest to him who he has brainwashed especially those within the momentum cult.

I would like add once again I have NEVER VOTED TORY

I will be very happy to leave the EU though, so this country can start to think for itself without hindrance once again.

It was Corbyn and his cronies who swung me away from Labour. When Labour came knocking at at my door I told them this and one elderly man told me I had no idea about anything Corbyn represented. This just about summed Labour up for me

i dont care who you voted for ,what are you afraid of whups and grimy condemning you has a tory voter.
laughable ,those two dont bother me or the rest of the lefties.
an article regarding the north abandoning the labour party in the last few years is true.
the present labour party is full of greater london champagne socialist's ,hugh grant for instance posted on twitter ,"there goes the neighbourhood"like he ever lived in run down council estate.
bet he's nearest neighbour is a hundred yards away behind a 6 foot brick wall.
all spouting sickening claptrap about us all being together.a million miles away from reality .

I'm frightened of neither of them especially the one who steals the valour of those who have served this country, I was just stating that I have never voted Tory because I'm sick of hearing the line "what you voted for".

I think the swing away from Labour, by the Labour faithful was twofold.
There is no doubt that Corbyn is an unpopular leader but Labour's stance on Brexit was also a factor.
The fact that Boris was willing to (listen) to the people's voice sealed the deal.

Want to remain in the EU?
Here's a straw to grasp onto

Not mentioned is how the British people still feel about the EU with all the project fear stuff over the last few months, as all the doom mongering put off the Leavers, and made them into Remainers.

Who's to blame for Labour's demise at the General election, the Corbyn strategy is for each member of the shadow cabinet to stand up and vehemently announce; "I'm not Spartacus" in turn.

in 1997 i had high hopes for tony blair but nothing really changed ,bad management of the economy, give away's to the indolent.lack of any real decent investment.
then the calamitous crash missed by all in government and the civil service.
on our upper's in 2010 and into austerity.

i,ll tell you what were scared of . a tory government who uses brexit as a smoke screen with the sole intent on destroying the NHS . when they do & you need help & cant afford the private treatment you can either suffer or take a loan out to pay for it .

could not and would not be allowed to carve up the nhs, they would not be re-elected in a hundred years.
ordinary folk shunned the party that shunned them.
political suicide to let the nhs go ,who the hell could afford it anyway.
nonsense talk by opponents looking for crumbs of comfort, the same bilge that told us we will all wither and die when we leave europe.

The conservative party still represents the privileged class, and vested interests. A leopard never changes its spots.
