I hate to be the bearer of bad news but, I've just heard that Elizabeth passed aged 95 in august this year,

Very sad to hear.

She told us of her experiences as a Lumber Jill in WW2, and sawing through the masonry of her house to insert a DPC.

That is sad news. I remember her for her capital letters and bad eyesight . Always polite and never unkind.

Remember seeing some photos of her at some type of presentation,she looked a very elegant lady and was always interesting .RIP.

So sad to hear this news she was a very polite and well educated lady who later in her life suffered from bad eyesight which restricted her daily life
