I've recorded the series but not watched any after I read a bad review. I'm like you in that I don't like foul language. there's no need for it.I might just delete it.

Linma. It seems to be the norm now, it's on most programmes you switch on. That Gogglebox programme is the same you have parents coming out with all sorts in front of their children and vice versa, then you have the so called "celebs" on the show who amuse themselves with using bad language and think they are so funny. Never did I hear my parents using such language and they never heard me, if they did I would have been dealt with severely, I'm no angel on that count but never in front of children or family not even when out in public.

Some comedians cannot tell jokes without swearing and are not funny at the best of times

Have you read the reviews for this dreadful drama, says it all? What some people, Sarah Lancashire, will do for money.

We started watching it but stopped after the first episode. The dialogue was mumbled and incoherent and it ruined our enjoyment and understanding of the play. Why do producers now think it's okay to render much of the dialogue difficult if not impossible to hear? Watch any film/TV series from the past and the dialogue is crystal clear. They seem to be pursuing "realistic" dialogue at the expense of comprehension. So it was the "off" button for us, I'm afraid!

'Happy Valley' was spoiled by Sarah Lancashires mumbling as well..
everybody complained at the time..you would have thought that she would
have been told about it by now..and I am far from deaf..my hearing is too
acute if anything....but Sarah Lacashires mumbling drives me potty...and
the need for swearing on TV..well,I'd sooner read a book.
