Any one round the Garswood or Ashton area got a photograph of The old cottage where the Tile Sheds where?

Tumtingle, Your turning the clock back a bit now asking this, I think their was a semi with some type of water works building they looked after ? didn't Jack Arkwright live in one of them before moving to Landgate about 1952/3 will be about 80 now jack

Tumtell, you are right about Jack Arkwright living there but before him Alice Rigby lived there but i remember a family from Liverpool who had been bombed out came to live in the cottage, i was a friend of one of the sons Teddy, we used to fish there & skate on,t clog sides when frozen, the council started to fill the clay pit in at the end of the war, we had some good times at the Tile Sheds. MEMORIES.

Tumtingle, don't forget I'm only a pup but seen and done things I shouldn't have with having a big brother and older sisters, as you know the older lads on the estate always looked after the younger lads
