Tesco

I was in Tesco the other day and could not believe what I was seeing. A group of people were waiting while staff was putting food on the shelf ( I later found out it was reduced in price.). The people were manic grabbing the food, nearly up to fighting, I have never seen anything like it.

I had a similar experience in Asda in Leigh once, in that as I was walking around pushing me trolley, it came over the tannoy that cooked chickens were now on sale at a reduced price of a pound each and by a flook I was just near this hot cabinet with these chickens in it with an Asda woman standing guard stood in front of it and as the announcement finished, the Asda woman stepped to one side and all these people surged forward taking the chickens and I got one meself and they had all gone within 30 seconds and I gathered from what I had seen that the chicken counter had been being watched by these gannets

That happens quite a lot in Tesco and not just at Wigan or Leigh - herd mentality kicks in when one grabs, and they all know the time of day when the reduced stuff goes on the shelf.
