Storms

Has Wigan had any storms over past 24 hrs or so?
We had two long bouts of severe storms over 2 days that were difficult to ignore. Have to confess that I don't like the thunder and lightening, more so since a house at the end of my street got hit a few years ago and took out the roof, the stairs and a good deal of the first floor.

Just lovely hot sun here Beryl,I'm terrified of thunder & lightning I always think it'll strike our house

It's a lovely day here to today, but my word it was bad yesterday evening for about 4 hours and the previous night. I didn't know it could rain/hail that much. My friend laughs at me when I say about how bad a storm was as she comes from the Caribbean where storms are considerably worse .... however that is no comfort when in the middle of out own.

Sorry all..but I love thunder and lightening.

Oh momac I've been scared since I was little,curtains closed & all lights on then I can't see it

NJ,I used to have friend that would hide under the stairs until it passed..I
really love the power of thunder.

We had a spate of heavy rainfall sometime during the night. Can't say what time, ignored it and went back to sleep

There was light rain for about 2 hours last night nothing special.

If you hear the thunder you are safe as the noise and lightening occur at the same instant ( near enough just a few nanoseconds apart ).

Looks all quiet at the moment
