HAVE YOU THOUGHT OF HAVING A COUPLE OF HOURS HELP IN YOUR HOME ELIZABETH. I KNOW THERE HAVE BEEN CUT BACKS AND YOU PROBABLY WOULD HAVE TO FUND IT YOURSELF BUT A HALF HOUR VISIT IN THE MORNING AND TEA TIME A COUPLE OF DAYS A WEEK WOULD GIVE YOU SOME COMPANY AND SOMEONE TO CHAT TO, AND IF THERE ARE ANY LITTLE JOBS YOU NEED DOING THEY COULD HELP WITH THOSE.

Sorry to hear you're down, Elizabeth. Your local Age UK may be able to help.

Is Age UK Bath & North East Somerset your local branch? If not, find yours HERE.

Befriending Service - AGE UK BATH LINK

The Befriending service supports older people who feel lonely and isolated.

It is free and confidential, with local volunteers visiting or calling regularly to provide companionship and support.

Demand is high, so it is reserved for those who are unable to travel to other social activities.

How can I be referred to the Befriending Service?

Complete and return the form - Link
OR
Contact them to refer yourself Tel: 01225 466135 Email: befriending@ageukbanes.co.uk

There's also The Silver Line Helpline - LINK

The Silver Line is a confidential, free helpline for older people across the UK.

Silver Line Telephone Friends
If callers would like to be put in touch with a Silver Line Friend, they can enjoy a regular weekly friendship telephone call. Silver Line Friends are volunteers who enjoy talking to older people. Calls are free for both parties.
