That bag for life can make you ill

They pose a food poisoning risk if they are used to carry raw foods such as meat and fish.

The Food Standards Agency says even if there is no leakage, packaging can harbour traces of harmful bacteria that can cause stomach bugs.

They recommend that we should have separate colour coded bags for raw foods, ready-to-eat foods and household items such as detergent.
Should be fun

Carried raw food (although wrapped in something) in my plastic bag for life for over twenty years with no detriment to anyone. Another namby pamby idea.
If we didn't introduce germs etc. into our systems we can't build up resistance to infection. What did you do as children, run in and wash your hands every time you played with anything nasty including dead things?

Talking of germs,I know a silly young woman who as soon as she got
pregnant...got rid of the poor dog,had all the carpets ripped up..got rid of
anything that she deemed as germ ridden..in the first year of her little life
the baby had so many antibiotics it just wasn't true..She has since moved
so I don't know how the child is now..silly Mum.

I was always a generous kid - I enjoyed passing on my germs to all my mates

My mam said “you eat two buckets of dirt in you life and don’t even know you’ve done it.
My kids when they were very young used to eat sand off the beaches in Cornwall while making sand castles, they used to get sand filled nappies but no ill effect.
I love today’s young mother chasing after their kids with disinfectant wipes especially on kitchen/dining room surfaces.
Kids will never develop a good immune system, maybe we were better off exposed to all the germs and did a lot more playing outside instead of in a stagnating atmosphere in the house.
Our homes were always sociabley clean and that’s all that mattered.
