Wigan is happiest place in Greater Manchester
Started by: spiderwoman (835) Report abuse
I'm surprised this isn't being discussed already on here.
We have been crowned happiest people in Greater Manchester.

So what makes you so happy to be in Wigan?
For me it's all about the meat and potato pie (I'm not kidding either).

I don't think it matters whether Wigan is in Greater Manchester or Lancashire, does it, as long as the people are Happy...

Baker Boy says, "we never did have much to do with the mancs or scousers."

However, Wigan was always supported by Liverpool aristocracy and businessmen. Wigan is well connected to Liverpool and is even in Liverpool diocese.

Parts of Merseyside have Wigan postcodes. Are they in Lancashire?
Parts of Wigan have Warrington, Cheshire postcodes. Are they in Cheshire?
Parts of Wigan have St.Helens telephone code and parts of St.Helens have Wigan telephone code.

It could be said that Wigan has six telephone codes and three postcodes, covering five counties!

True Tonker, Wigan's catholic churches are also in the archdiocese of Liverpool.
