Gas and electricity per unit
Started by: lapis lazuli (935) Report abuse
What do you pay per unit, and what company do you use to supply?
I have found it impossible to find energy tarrifs anywhere, its done by yearly spend......what bloody use is that?

Here's British Gas. Just pick either gas or electric unit price, then an offer, then put in your postcode.

Just put my postcode in for Devon, it was £2 per month dearer than my postcode in Wigan. Then put a post code in for Chelsea London (posh area)That was also £2 per month cheaper.Cant understand why there are price differences.

My gas is 4.081 pence per unit.
My electricity is 12.48 pence per unit.

On the 16th of November, they will go up to 4.54 and 13.61 pence respectively!

Perhaps it's because you're 'out in the sticks' in Devon, staffy?

You could be right.

Price differences in different areas were caused by price-wars between different companies on privatisation. Apparently!

Thought all this free market stuff was supposed to keep prices down for the consumer.
Doesn't seem like much competition at all if some companies can up their prices for 10 percent without fear of some other company "sticking" and grabbing the fallout.
