Lakeside Hotel Lake Windermere
Started by: reddi8 (1027) Report abuse
Just spent a night there and couldn`t believe their prices. £46 for 2 for afternoon tea, fish & ships in the bar £21 evening meal £40 and £15 + £4 tray charge for a sandwich in your room. Its a beautiful hotel and the service was impeccable.

You get what you pay for reddi8, a lovely location for that special night away. Tried to get in there last year for our Ruby wedding but they were booked up

I stayed there years ago, but not at my expense.

The best night in Windermere was going on a pub crawl in the village - one place was The Grey Mare Inn I think, and then getting a curry and sneaking it back to the B&B and robbing a couple of plates and knives and forks from the breakfast room to eat it off.
