Peter Worthington's Photographs...
Started by: jarvo (17016) Report abuse
If you click on Photos Of Wigan, and then Album, you will be able to view Peter Worthington's atmospheric black and white photographs.

They are mostly railway scenes taken from No2 signal box, Wigan. But they are full of nostalgia and interest. So much so, that I am currently working on a series of poems dedicated to them.

They capture a view of a Wigan much-loved and are full of character. You will see old locomotives; capture Wigan North Western Station at dawn; and meet Doug Doughty, the master signalman...

Please take a look, they are a treasure...

I agree, they have brought back so many happy memories for me, remembering my Dad & how he loved his job as a Goods Guard, used all his privelege tickets so that he could travel on the trains.I am so grateful for these.
