I agree that he should not have been released, but what annoyed me is how Gordon Brown tried to shift the blame entirely on to the Scots, when it was a well known fact that if the British Government at the time, led by Gordon Brown had objected to the release, the Scots would not have released him.

I think that in life nothing is black or white, truth is that everything is normally somewhere in between.

I remember when there was all the concern being shown about the horses, which were in the field at Platt Bridge in the middle of winter and billy explained that horses are very hardy animals and it does not do horses any good to be mollycoddled and kept inside, a happy horse, is a horse which is outside and running free and billy was right

Handsome.
Prediction for you. If there is no overall majority after the May election, don't be surprised to see Labour and the Tories do a deal with one another. They will then overturn the 5 year regulation between elections, put out a mild programme for two years, then call another General election. This will suit both parties , Labour will not need the SNP, and the Tories will not need UKIP, if that is, UKIP win any seats.Another big advantage for Labour is that the Jocks north of the border will suddenly see they are not the King makers they thought they were going to be, and might go back to their old voting habits, ie Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, seeing that their adventure with SNP got them nowhere. Just a prediction Handsome.

If I didn't know you, I would think you might have dementia, you started the thread remember Scottish lady has got the Tories rattled,so my comments would be an easy way to rattle the SNP lady, instead of the other way round. The Tories have been around for something like 200 hundred years, Labour 100, you don't think they will allow an upstart from north of the border spoil their plans do you.

Think the Tories are just running scared of everybody, their manifesto on the NHS & the economy failed,so they tried the old cheap shares & social housing sell off, their electioneering now seems to be just scare monger ing about a labour/ snp coalition, your thread was far too clever for me

SD,
Had Ena posted since the thread was removed? Yes or No. I didn't say that was the reason I simply stated a fact. You want to get a life instead of constantly trying to pick up on peoples comments and reading things into them.

Handsome, If Labour are so confident of winning the election why are they jumping into bed with the SNP. From what I read the Tories will win more seats than Labour which proves not everyone shares the same Political ideas as the North of England. Sad but true.

As for the election, we will have to wait and see. The Tories would happily jump into bed with any Buffoon party if it meant they could stay in power.

Again another sign of a COWARD. Plenty to say behind a Keyboard. I would put you on ignore but you aren't even worth that. Now I am going to be very busy today. I have got loads of potholes to fill in and pavements to fix because I am an incompetent and overpaid council laky......or at least that's what you want to believe and constantly keep suggesting

Tarby.
Might attract me back to Labour if Miliband and his cheer leaders in the present labour set up promised a referendum on the EU. Labour for a Referendum Group campaign for just such a referendum, with Graham Stinger, John McDonnell Kate Hoey etc and many more prominent in that group. It would be worth thinking about if they got some prominence in the Labour Party about supporting Labour again, but at present the only show in town if you want a referendum is UKIP. No I have not lost my fight, still out campaigning for UKIP, but I don't run away with the idea that UKIP will win dozens of seats in 2015.All candidates report good vibs from their efforts in the different wards, but Labour are entrenched in this area, as you are well aware of.
