Spoiled by the adverts, near the end there were two advert breaks in 5 minutes In future I'll watch it on Catch Up when the adverts aren't shown

Although the Beatles looked nothing like the Beatles, their voices, tone, and persona, were spot on.

A fabulous achievement.

It felt a bit sterile.I wouldn't say in to watch it.I'm not sure that there's much of a story to tell.

There is no need for nasty comments about Cilla Black

I don't think it was a good production, the roles in my opinion had been miscast, I like Sheridan Smith but I don't think this role was right for her

Her husband was made to look comical, but, apparently, she treated him like a serf.

My other half just told me that.

If they were speaking in the thick nasal scouse accent of the 1960s they would have had to have on-screen sub titles, you couldn't tell what they were saying half the time and they couldn't tell what Wiganers were saying.

I quite enjoyed it but then again I'm a bit of a dinosaur when it comes to music .one thing I do remember though was the bigotry regarding religion back then, not just in Liverpool it was also prevalent in Wigan as well

Farrie50

I hadn't realised that there was religious intolerance in the Cilla Black era, although I remember her and her songs reasonably well. That said many have commented that I am the least observant person they know.

How did it manifest itself?

@builderboy in the 60's religion was strictly adhered to both in school and to some degree at home.lots of people would not dream of marrying someone from "the other side"iremember my mam once went to a wedding in a protestant church but refused to say any prayers or sing any hymns

Proddy dogs & Red Necks

Religion should be banned worldwide, because you have religious wars between people who believe in the 'same' god
