'84% of us* say we can't go for a day without our phones.'
www.phonefreefriday.org
Just donate £4 to take part and receive your 'Phone Free Friday Survival Kit'. Why £4? That's what it costs the Samaritans to take one call – a call that could save a life.

I've only got a basic mobile, Laughing Gravy, which I mostly wouldn't miss, & I don't use the landline every day, but I would miss the internet.

after all these years he still calls me at least 4/5 times a year? agreat guy to know on account he was a great bare knuckle scrapper.if you were looking for trouble;e..keep well clear of pauli, cos this guy left ya for dead.

Phones can definitely be invaluable at times, Billy.
The Samaritans are a great organisation that help save lives by always being at the end of the phone.

Well done to your friend, Jay_1, it's not a job for everyone, but those who are able to do it no doubt make a great difference at times.

If you have an association with the Wigan branch you would certainly know this gentleman. He's made a major contribution in many ways to Wigan society for many years.

I know little about the Wigan branch, Jay_1, and only found out it's based in Dicconson Street recently as my friend looked into becoming a volunteer.
