His father was also named Edwin and his mother was named Alice (nee Smith )He had two brothers,James,John and one sister,Elizabeth. In the 1881 and 1891 censuses they resided at 21 Bradford Place Wigan.There was also a nephew listed as living at the same address Joseph Smith Requiring help with these family names: RIMMER       Alice 1850- 1950       Edwin 1850- 1950       Elizabeth 1871-1900s       James W 1878-1900s       John 1880-1900s SMITH       Alice 1850- 1950       Joseph 1872-1900s
