In 1881 census: Farmer of 27 acres at Bagshaw Hall, Aspull
In 1881 census: Grandson James Molyneux, age 16, Apprentice pattern maker living with grandparents at Bagshaw Hall Do not know the father of James
In 1881 census: James Molyneux, age 36 Pattern maker at colliery living at 288 Withington Lane, Aspull with wife Margaret age 31 and children Ellen age 6, Jane age 4, Elizabeth age 2 and Margaret A age 4 months.
