Joseph Wilson snr. on the right, works the land at De Trafford farm alongside his son, also named Joseph. circa 1931. I assume the structure visible in the distance to be the LNWR signal box at Amberswood East junction, referred to by P.G. von Donop in his report to the Board of Trade on the 27th of August 1900, regarding the railway accident that occurred in the vicinity a month or so earlier that year.
