| There is a connection with Wigan in this picture. Alan Brown (top right back row) later became manager of Wigan Athletic. My mum used to work for the Latics between 1966 and 1970 and Alan was the manager for some of that time. He moved to Luton Town and was replaced by Harry Leyland. Harry was the Blackburn goalkeeper in the 1960 FA Cup Final when one Dave Whelan broke his leg. |

| I was very sad to hear of Allan Brown's death on April 20th 2011. He was 84. He ended his playing days at Wigan and started his managerial career there too. He went on to manage Blackpool. |
