Sorry Bill... but that train is heading TOWARDS Wigan. I know Ince station, and as you come down the steps you are facing Wigan. But this is nit-picking... it is still a fine shot for all of that

It has it rear red lights on, Dennis, that should have been a clue! On that day loads of intercity trains came through Ince because of the mainline diversion. I'll see if I can find anymore shots.
When I was on the Railway, the track you were on was always like the ordinary road, you drove on the left.
The HST's used to run cross-country route on the weekends, trough Bolton I think.
