Is that the late Irene Lowe, far right, back row?
She was a lovely girl Irene...very pretty.
Another great photo Susan .. I don't know what we were doing here lol It's so great to see these old photos, I'm sure after looking at this it is more likely to be 1969 rather than 1970, great to see Suzanne Eadon, what happenend to her? and to John Jarvis, Irene is at the far right but on the next to back row, playing tenor horn - she was very pretty you're right and a lovely girl too, sadly missed
Thanks Kath. I couldn't believe Irene had passed away; had she been ill..? It saddened me so much. She worked in the Time Office at Triangle Valve when I was an apprentice; I think she was a year older than me. Did she have a family...?
Hi Kath, yes this is another one from the vaults, we do look like we're messing about a bit don't we - what we liked to do best I think, have a laugh lol! Hi John I remember you saying that you worked with Irene. She was ill for quite a while and sadly left behind a husband and 3 lovely kids and a grandson (a granddaughter has arrived since) I look after her grandson at school and Irene would have been so very proud of him he's a joy. Irene's daughter is lovely too and looks just like her Mum - gorgeous. Irene is so sadly missed by us all.
Thanks girls for the info on Irene; how sad it all is.
I can definately see our Barbara on this one Susan, right at the front.
Great photos, keep bringing them on.
Kath, Is that Janice Williams next to you who married Jim Tollit
Hi Stephen, Yes you're right it is Janice .. she seems to be checking out her nail polish doesn't she LOL
Haha Kath I never noticed that about Janice - yes definately checking the nails and cuticles I think LOL!!!!
On friends reunited Susanne Eden is listed as living in New Zealand can't get in touch though maybe her profile needs updating. xx Hope your ok Stephen and got some results at the Museum you were going to.
Hi Susan, Yes i'm fine and i hope the same goes for you. I havn't been able to get down to Wigan yet to the museum but i've found out that one of the gents who run it is Walt Ainscough who was Bass player at Wigan when i was there. He's on the W&D photo. So i hope i might eventually come up with something. Any luck with Jims lad?
Stephen I have spoken to Janice today and asked if Jim or Brian have any pictures of W&D, I also told her about this site and she said that she will mention it to Jim so hopefully you'll get some pics, fingers crossed for you.
Hi Susan, Thanks so much for you trouble regarding W&D info. I hope either Jim or Brian will have something. I've put my email address with this post so they can contact me direct if they want. It would be great to hear from them. Feel free to use it youself (and Kath or anyone else for that matter). Once again, thankyou for your help.
PS Merry Xmas
