Border Regt' cap badge with my Uncle Thomas in centre. My Father, Jack Turner, in the Navy, he came home demobbed on a Friday,I was called up the Monday after.Full length of me with too long trousers,at Ballykinlar,Northern Ireland.(1946) Then in Calais,Loyal Regt'(1947), last one,Army Cadets,(Loyals in Hindley,1942-46)

Hi Eric, you have more service in than Monty. You must qualify for the long, long,long service and good conduct medal.

Thanks Graham, I do have long service medal, but not for this, it's for 28 years in the Royal Observer Corps. E.T.
