My dad Geoff Calderbank on the right, stayed up all night melting snow at Central Park so a match could be played the day after,i think it was in the 50s or early 60s.I was told the other man was the head grounds man but forgot his name,does anyone know him?
He also worked on the turn styles for years with his father also Jeff and his cousin Cliff McDonald does anyone remember them?they were all cousins of Bert Ralph and Ernie Ashcroft who were Wigan players

The man on the left has a look of Tom Brown, who used to have The Park Hotel on Hope St.
He was on the board at Wigan and died about 40 years ago.
