The recent pic on Photo-a-Day of the Side Kick Miami ride in the car park of Albert's in Standish had me looking through my old files - and here's the same ride, though perhaps changed since then. The tractor unit is certainly different - this was a 6-wheel Foden, D686 RNA.
The funfair is now based in Burscough, beside the Leeds and Liverpool Canal.

This is Arthur Silcocks reach for the stars Miami. They was based in hindley but since relocated near ince.

What happened to the old ark speedway
Silcocks used to have Thatto Heath for winter close down for years
John Edward Silcock yard at Burscough,
Is better known as "Canal Yard"
