This is the parish brass band of either St Williams, Wigan, or St Patricks, Wigan. About 1919.
The man fourth from the right, middle row, wearing bow tie, is Jack Keenan, who later emigrated to New Jersey, USA. Next to him, fifth from right, is his brother-in-law Harry Lowe, who later lived in Woodhouse Lane, Wigan. The man standing between third and fourth kneeling boys, from the left, is oneof the Bownes family, born in Sligo, Ireland.
